Not a Master

Date Posted: August 9th, 2017, 8:25 pm
I'm not the best coder, illustrator, designer, or writer. But I understand enough of each to help others who need it and coordinate collaboration between people who are masters. So that's...something. In terms of career-speak, I guess. Mainly I want to be valued even though I'm not a "master", I guess. That's my main worry. u_u;

Author Notes

I still have a hard time dividing up my time between all my interests. I'll probably never be someone known for "That One Thing they're amazing at", but that's OK I think. At least I have a lot of things I enjoy doing and can learn passionately about.

Jack of all trades but master of none, is better than a master of one.
@LotusQueen: Amen to that!
Who says you have to drop interests ??? Who says a person is supposed to be only known for one thing ?

Yeah I know we do hear successful people known for one thing but if one takes a closer look they are talented and have learned in other areas as well but are just not known for it.

I can recall numerous successful people who have learned multiple languages despite not needing to , the actress of big bang theory who plays Amy is in fact a neuroscientist with a aphd ! She did both acting and science in her life

That is from top of my head but I'm assured there is a variety of more people who do that.

You go and learn what you want and you enjoy it as anything learned has never been bad
@Falconer: my dear Falconer i am going to say this only one time and you better hear...read me clearly you are a master of two things and two things only! but they eclipse everything else! you are a MASTER OF YOUR DESTINY AND YOUR LIFE!! so never forget you are the one calling the shots and you should never forget your atoms came from the stars! you are stellar! so shine and prove that your shine is the brightest one ok?
"Well, from that day to this, I have wandered alone,
As a jack of all trades, and a master of none,
With a sky for me roof, and the earth for me floor....
And I'll dance out my days drinking whiskey galore!
Singing, "Bainne na mbó ar na gamhna,and the juice of the barley for me!"
-The final stanza of "Juice Of The Barley", a fun Irish drinking ballad, best performed by the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem
@The_Hankerchief: For your listening pleasure:

I don't know why, but I was reminded of that final line when I read this page. Minus the whiskey drinking, this could be the solution to the problem!
